Request a Donation


The Museum of Discovery is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  The Mission of the Museum of Discovery is to ignite a passion for science, technology and math in a dynamic, interactive environment.

The Museum supports other non-profit organizations in their fundraising efforts whenever possible by donations through our Museum Donation Program. If approved, your organization will receive a Complimentary Household Membership, with a retail value of $70.

All comp memberships have an issue and expiration date. Every effort is made to fulfill qualified requests; however, due to the high volume of requests, there is no guarantee that any given request will be fulfilled.

To qualify:

  • Your organization must be a non-profit
  • The mission of your organization must support the enrichment of the Museum’s core audience, children between the ages 0-12.

To submit, please include the following:

  • A copy of your organization’s 501(c)(3) letter
  • Copy of the organization’s mission statement (Not required for schools)
  • A brief description of the event, event date, contact name, address and phone number and any additional auction control forms

To be considered:

  • Donation requests must be in writing and on your organization’s letterhead
  • Requests may be submitted via mail, fax or e-mail
  • Donation requests must be received by the Museum of Discovery at least six (6) weeks in advance of your event
  • Organizations may only request one donation during a 12-month period

Please note that we receive a high volume of requests and are not able to provide status information regarding your submission either via telephone or email. If your organization is granted a Complimentary Household Membership, you will be notified three to four weeks prior to your event. Your Complimentary Household Membership will be mailed to you upon notification.
