8th Annual Dino Dash & Discovery Fest
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (May 07, 2007) –Get ready for the Museum of Discovery’s 8th Annual Dino Dash and Discovery Fest happening Saturday, June 2 in the River Market District, Downtown Little Rock. Dino Dash 5K Walk/Run and 1K Fun Run & Discovery Fest is presented by Alltel.
- Registration Fee: $25 individual registration
- 5K begins at 8:00 a.m., 1K begins at 9:00 a.m.
- Both races start and finish at the Museum of Discovery, with onsite registration starting at 6:30 a.m.
- Medals will be awarded to top finishers in various 5K age groups and all 1K participants receive a medal and dino prize.
- All race registrants receive a 2007 Dino Dash t-shirt, runner’s bag and free admission to the Museum on race day.

After Dino Dash, cool down at Discovery Fest where race participants and their families will enjoy food, games and prizes. Visitors can make special dinosaur themed crafts, play games, get their face painted and see live animals from the Museum’s animal collection. Discovery Fest hours are 8:00 a.m. through 11:30 a.m.
“Dino Dash and Discovery Fest is a great way for families or individuals to enjoy the sights and sounds of the River Market while supporting a great organization, the Museum of Discovery,” said Mary Ellen Richards, Dino Dash & Discovery Fest 2007 Chairman.
All proceeds benefit the educational and outreach programs at the Museum of Discovery.

ABOUT THE MUSEUM
Founded in 1927, The Museum of Discovery is Little Rock’s oldest museum. It remains a fixture of the River Market District in Downtown Little Rock and welcomes visitors into a “world of discovery for all ages.” Throughout 2007, the Museum is proud to celebrate “80 Years of Discovery.” The year long celebration will include special events and exhibits designed to showcase science, history and technology.
The Museum’s mission is to engage, enlighten and educate people of all ages through an interactive experience where science and history come alive. The Museum of Discovery is a Smithsonian Affiliate, and a member of the American Association of Museums, the Association of Science and Technology Centers and the Association of Children’s Museums.
Admission is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for children 1-12, $7.00 for seniors over 65 and free for children under one. Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.
