The Museum of Discovery acquired the mummy case in 1973. The mummy coffin is free of previous restoration and in superb condition. The coffin was made in Apu (Panopolis), Egypt circa 600 B.C. While some facts remain a mystery, there is much we do know about the mummy case.

Friendship Dolls such as Miss Kyoto arrived in America in 1926. They were gifts from the children of Japan to commemorate the history and friendship between Japan and the United States. Many Friendship dolls were destroyed during World War II.
